He has more than 5 years’ experience working
as a Consultant. For decades, he has worked for:
1) Optron SA, and
authorized supplier of Trimble hardware and software
2) The Kwazulu Natal
department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs as an agricultural
scientist in the risk and disaster management sub-directorate.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Geo-Information
Science (MGI) from Wageningen University (The Netherlands). In addition,
he has a Master of Science in Disaster management and an Honours Degree in
Geography from the University of Free State and University of Pretoria.
Attention to details is his best hobby. His skills are enormous but not limited
to disaster management and post disaster recovery, coordination skills at all
level of governance, geographical information system and remote sensing.
Currently, he is directly involved with database related administration,
spatial data manipulation and to some extent business analysis. He is user
friendly with many programming languages, including python, Java Script, and R.
Over the past years, he has supervised many students who have obtained their
degrees.
